Busy Bees

Another busy day in the books, but DH had been working on the camper while I was at work this past week. He got the new Hunter fan hung and it looks great! Saturday, I worked on a few papers I had to catch up on, then I slowly finished up some final prep work in the camper that had to be done prior to the last bout of painting. I patched screw holes in the walls with wood putty and taped off light switches and wall edges, removed unnecessary items that would get in the way like door straps, removable switch plates, door guides, and light fixtures. I cleaned the last three windows in the camper that hadn't seen that Dawn and scrubbie pad yet, and they were glad to see it. These are supposed to be white! 😬 I couldn't think of a good way to hide the gap where the slide was on the kitchen, but I thought maybe a good solution would be the brown caulk tape I didn't use on the stairs. It looks okay and it hid the black gap on the floor. Still needs trim moulding, but better than ...

Gaining Ground

The paint monster is being subdued and I feel like I'm gaining a foothold on the renovation mountain. Amazon purchases are on a hiatus right now, simply because my couch is full of new things that are being staged for the remodel but can't go in until I finally put the paint away.  It looks like a hoarder beginner kit, and I hate it. I knew once I got to work I'd get hot and sweaty though, so it was best to just get to work and warm up.  As is my nature, I started by sweeping up the floor and surveying what remained to be done. At this point, I was essen...

Premature Speculation

Well, of course I spoke too soon-I'm down with Covid. But because of the industrial strength vaccine I got working in the ICU, I haven't felt much of anything. I tested because I had a horrible migraine headache I couldn't get rid of and was up literally all night Thursday and into Friday morning-last time I checked the clock it was 4:38am. I tested myself and let my supervisor know, but because of where I work, I have to be off for 5 days before I can come back. 😷 But I feel fine. 😑 So, I decided to use my time wisely. I started by finishing up all my classwork for the next week and a half and made sure all the housework was caught up on Friday. I didn't want a single excuse in the following few days to have to stop working, alternately if the virus was going to kick my ass in the next few days I wanted to make sure I was ready.  Friday night, I asked DH to take the paint I bought back to Ace and have it shaken again. I opened the off-white (Silos White) a week earli...
