Busy Bees

Another busy day in the books, but DH had been working on the camper while I was at work this past week. He got the new Hunter fan hung and it looks great!

Saturday, I worked on a few papers I had to catch up on, then I slowly finished up some final prep work in the camper that had to be done prior to the last bout of painting. I patched screw holes in the walls with wood putty and taped off light switches and wall edges, removed unnecessary items that would get in the way like door straps, removable switch plates, door guides, and light fixtures. I cleaned the last three windows in the camper that hadn't seen that Dawn and scrubbie pad yet, and they were glad to see it.

These are supposed to be white! 😬

I couldn't think of a good way to hide the gap where the slide was on the kitchen, but I thought maybe a good solution would be the brown caulk tape I didn't use on the stairs. It looks okay and it hid the black gap on the floor.

Still needs trim moulding, but better than it was!

I measured the area above the stove for the copper façade.

Sunday I was on call at 7pm, so I spent most of the day with my feet up, napping, until I was called in. 😉 I feel like I deserve one day a week to myself, if only for 12 hours before the next project.

Fun times in the OR!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Today, I sighed loudly several times, but I opened the paint. I decided to paint the rest of the rooms the darker white (Southern Grown). I did two coats in the bathroom area and the bedroom, cutting in each time.
I finished painting the rooms and moved on to the cabinet in the living room.
The rest of the cabinet will be painted hunter green.
The spray paint was dry on the vent and fuse panel cover, so I reattached them. The black gloss looked much better than the flat.
DH helped me attach the wood trim to the slides, however it was too dark to get pictures at that point.
I had taken breaks throughout the day and sanded the wood that needed to be re-stained. After dark when it was too late to paint in the camper, I started staining the wood. It consisted of the table I had saved from the original camper getup, the two trim pieces above the pocket door, the spice rack, and the handle that goes next to the front door exit.
I still have a bit to go with the staining, but they look great so far!
Tomorrow (Tuesday), my plan is to finish up the trim in gloss white, and bust out the green for the final touch ups and cut-ins. Next step is the wallpaper, final clean, and putting the interior together! I'm so excited!
We're getting so close! I am believing after next week I will be able to start moving stuff in! 💖
Just another day in paradise!
